A message from our CEO André Thornton
Supply chains are being judged differently today. What was once optimized for efficiency and cost is now measured by its ability to perform under pressure. The past few years have made it clear that resiliency is a necessity; operationalizing it effectively is a competitive advantage.
From our base in Northeast Ohio, at the intersection of manufacturing, logistics, and industry, we’ve spent more than forty years adapting alongside our clients. We haven’t followed a fixed blueprint; we’ve built our business by responding to their operational challenges.
Over time, that’s meant developing disciplined operations in environments where accuracy and reliability are critical. What we’ve learned is simple: rigorous standards and structured processes strengthen performance across the board.

Our recent expansion, with the acquisition of North Coast Logistics, reflects that same approach: growing where the need is and building what the market demands. It strengthens our reach and capacity while staying grounded in the principles that have shaped our business from the start.
To best serve you, we continue to focus on hiring the best talent in their respective fields from the leadership team through to the front line. Our customer service department will seem like members of your own organization as they manage your inventory and distribution issues.
Looking ahead, I believe the strongest supply chains will be built on collaborative partnerships centered on trust, clear communication, and responsiveness. Partners are teams that think alongside you, anticipate challenges, and bring a perspective grounded in experience and expertise.
That’s the standard of partnership we hold ourselves to, and the role we aim to play for every client. I welcome the opportunity to explore how that kind of partnership would work for your organization.

Our story
ASW Global has grown alongside the industries we serve—adapting to changing supply chain demands with a focus on precision, reliability, and process-driven execution. Founded in Northeast Ohio in 1983, ASW began as the Akron Storage and Warehouse to satisfy regional warehousing and distribution needs. The Gilchrist Polymer Center was created as a division to process and package plastic resin.
Over more than four decades, we have expanded our capabilities and footprint by responding directly to customer needs and real-world complexity. Today, that evolution continues through strategic growth and expanded regional reach.
